Baghdad: Robe Makers

In his al-Risāla al-Baghdādiyya, al-Tawhidi (d. 1023) indicates that there are workshops to sew al-khaz clothes. Al-khaz is a type of clothing that is woven from wool and ibrīsam (i.e. silk). See also: Weaver; Carpet Maker; Spinner; Tailor.
