Baghdad: Pillow Makers
Date: 980-81
In his al-Risāla al-Baghdādiyya, al-Tawhidi (d. 1023) refers to al-namariq (pillows) that were made in Baghdad. He describes these pillows as being like yellow flowers that were scattered on the ground during drinking parties. See also: Weaver; Embroiderer; Tailor.
